Privacy

Last updated: 2026-06-27

This Privacy Policy explains how LingoFuse (“LingoFuse”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses information when you use our website and app (the “Service”).

1. What we collect

  • Account data: Information from sign-in providers (for example Google or Apple’s Sign in with Apple), such as your name, email address, and profile image (depending on what you share with the provider).
  • Service data: Your tasks/exercises, subscription/credits status, and basic settings.
  • Inputs: Content you submit for generation, such as YouTube links, uploaded MP4 files, text prompts, and language selections.
  • Technical data: Basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service (for example IP address, device/browser information, timestamps). In our mobile app we also collect diagnostics (crash reports and error logs) and product-usage analytics (screens viewed and in-app actions). This information is linked only to a pseudonymous account identifier, not to your name or email.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide the Service and generate tasks/exercises from your Inputs.
  • To manage accounts, subscriptions, and credits.
  • To maintain, debug, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and security.
  • To communicate with you about important Service updates or support requests.

3. Payments (web and App Store)

On the website, subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Stripe processes payment-related data according to Stripe’s policies. On the iOS app, auto-renewable subscriptions are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payment information for those purchases; Apple’s handling of that data is described in Apple’s privacy policy and terms. We receive information from Apple that we need to validate access and manage subscriptions. On the Android app, auto-renewable subscriptions are purchased through Google Play Billing. Google processes payment information for those purchases; Google’s handling of that data is described in Google’s privacy policy and terms. We receive information from Google that we need to validate access and manage subscriptions.

4. Sharing and processors

We share data only as needed to run the Service, for example with service providers that help us with authentication, payments, hosting, storage, and video processing. We also use Google’s generative AI services (Gemini) to create tasks and exercises from your Inputs; when you request generation, relevant Input (such as prompts, language selections, and material derived from submitted video or links) may be sent to Google for processing, in line with Google’s terms and policies. We do not sell your personal data. We may also share data to comply with legal obligations. For our mobile app we use Sentry for crash and error reporting and PostHog for product analytics; both are configured to store data in the European Union and receive only a pseudonymous account identifier, not your name or email.

5. YouTube and Google services (video)

When you use a YouTube link with the Service, we may call YouTube's public metadata endpoints (for example oEmbed) to read basic information such as the video title and duration, and we may show an embedded YouTube player so you can watch the video in the app or on the website. Playback and related features are provided by Google/YouTube; when you use the player, YouTube's and Google's own terms and privacy policies may apply in addition to ours. You are responsible for submitting only URLs and content you are allowed to use. For more detail, see YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies primarily for authentication (keeping you signed in), security, and basic preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

7. Retention and your rights

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. To make a request, contact us at contact@lingofuse.io.
